Ahoy, captain! Pirates, Crown soldiers and sea beasts are landing on your island, and only your cannons stand in their way.

YarrrTD is a pirate maze tower defense, a love letter to the Warcraft III classics Wintermaul TD and Wintermaul Wars. There is no fixed path: every tower you place is a wall. Enemies always take the shortest way to your harbour... so build them the longest detour you can and make them walk it under fire.

The free demo includes online 1v1 PvP on every map, against full-game players too.

1v1 PvP, Wintermaul Wars style

• Maze and send. Build your maze, recruit troops at your tavern and send them into your rival's maze. Every unit you send raises your income.
• Last port standing. Leak too many and your harbour falls. Outbuild, outsend, outlast.
• 4 maps: Twin Isles Strait, Twin Willows, Twin Snowdrifts and Twin Agoras. Each player votes; if you disagree, the sea decides.
• Pick your side: a faction and your grog powers before every match, and a rematch whenever you both vote for one.
• Easy to join: a public game list, or a 6-character code for a friend. No Epic account needed.
• Create your own lobby or use the matchmaking to fight someone

The campaign

• 20 coves across 4 worlds. Sun-soaked tropical isles, raging storm rivers, islands locked in ice, and a sunken city at the bottom of the sea... and deep in the abyss, something sleeps.
• 40 waves per cove. On foot, in the air or swimming: sailors, gulls, sharks, skeletons, dragons... and a boss every ten waves.
• Three difficulties, three stars. Normal, Hard and Heroic (one single life!). Hold all 40 waves, without grog, without losing a life.
• Grog powers. Broadside, kraken bait, nets, rum barrels, the ship's salvo: earn doubloons and buy new powers for when things get rough.

4 pirate factions

Gunners, Sirens, Smugglers or the Cursed: each has its own towers, upgraded over three ranks. Cannonballs, grapeshot, harpoons, mortars, poison, curses... find the mix that holds.

Play together

• Couch co-op: two captains on one screen, mouse and keyboard plus a gamepad, or two gamepads.
• Online co-op: two PCs on a campaign of your own, the host's.
• Online 1v1 PvP: see above.

Controls

• Mouse: left click builds and selects, right click cancels, the wheel zooms. The camera also pans at the screen's edges.
• Keyboard: WASD / arrows move the camera, 1-9 pick a tower, F upgrades, X sells, Z / C fire your grog powers, N calls the next wave. Every key can be rebound in Options > Controls.
• Gamepad: fully supported, in the menus and in a match.
